Announcement

Announcement for new users: in order to combat the ever increasing spam, we no longer allow new users to post links in the message body. This limitation is automatically lifted once a new user has a specific number of 'valid' posts.

You can post links like google.com which will be rendered as text but you will not be able to post messages that contain complete URLs like www.google.com

Thank you for your understanding!

Adsense doesn't render

I have added this code to my sidebar.tpl to show adwords above the city listing:

{literal}
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-3504923996499680";
/* Baanzoektmv 120x240, gemaakt 11-10-10 */
google_ad_slot = "3413088865";
google_ad_width = 120;
google_ad_height = 240;
//-->
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>
{/literal}

However, the ad does not show. Any thoughts? Tried the same with <div> tags around it as well, but still no luck. Any help appreciated. We are using v 1.8 on www.baanzoektmv.nl

Re: Adsense doesn't render

It takes some time for brand new google ads to start showing.

Re: Adsense doesn't render

They will work if you set up properly under {literal} ..{/literal} tags. Also make sure that you adhere to AdSense guidelines before you setup. If you're trying to setup only for ad revenue purpose with not much stuff on it or too many adsense ads on a single page(max.3/page). Make sure that you have a valid AdSense account and just click on 'Preview Ads' like how they look when posted. Please don't click on your real ads as this is a violation.

Select the best locations so as to fit your Ads in the page like header, middle, footer etc. If you select WideSkyScrapter or Vertical Skyscraper in a place where your ad may not fit in. Also you will sometimes notice the footer going big or small as per your Text/Image AdSense Ads.

If you select proper AdSizes/Ad Formats which fit into your page smoothly are those you need to look up. However, you would go for those that get some revenue for you.

Hope you get them running and Best Wishes

@netvalue ...francisjohonson is obviously spamming, not asking a question... and he's wasting our time.
