Topic: JobberBase Mod Compilation Package

This mod compilation pack was made for a clean installation of JobberBase 1.5b1. It replaces a lot of core files, so ONLY USE THIS ON THE CORRECT AND CLEAN INSTALLATION! If you made any changes to files and you upload this package, there's chances those changes will be lost. Don't forget to run the SQL to update your tables. I've tested this on a clean installation of JobberBase, so it should be safe.

This is not a stand-alone-modification, it only includes files changed by the mods. The following mods are included in this package:

SEO for Job Categories (CtCoder):
Adds the ability to set a description and keywords for job categories, in the same way as it works for custom pages.

Spotlight Jobs (Chronos):
Adds the ability to set jobs as 'spotlight jobs', which will show them in a random list (or anywhere else where wanted).

Admin Job Editor (putypuruty)
Adds the ability to edit and preview jobs in the admin panel (not to make new ones there though).

Category RSS Button (N2S)
Adds a simple image-link in all job categories to quickly access it's RSS feed.

Publish Email Bugfix (N2S)
Fixes a bug where the edit/delete links in the mail to the client would not work correctly.

@filipcte ..I do not know whether you've read my post? I have asked Tokyoj some questions about jobberbase. Since you`re here I can asked you directly. :-)

A penny for your thoughts..
Do you think these changes will be find the way into the core?
Has the "jobberbase" project any roadmap or timetable? What next?

There are many new "things/modifications" from the community. It would be a real pleasure to see a stable (new) version of jobberbase next. But please, I don't want this to come off the wrong way., I think the "community devs" have it much easier when such things are clarified in a roadmap or timetable or what ever.

The spotlight feature is great and will make it into the next release.

Also some of the other features and a few extra ones we promised earlier: optional company user account + optional payment for posting.

I'm looking forward to the next release, hope I can implement it without too much trouble (as I've adjusted so many files). I was about to start working on the account feature, but I'll focus on other modifications instead if it's already being planned smile

No it wouldn't, since stuff like the spotlight jobs where implemented in the official version after this package. I'll remake it tomorrow for 1.6 with the add-ons that didn't make it smile
