Topic: Smarty Error -How to ?

Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir '/home/content/24/7346824/html/_templates/default/_cache' does not exist, or is not a directory. in /home/content/24/7346824/html/_includes/smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1093

I'm getting the above error after jobberbase installation. Please help and post your reply on how to fix this bug. Tried different permissions but doesn't work. I'm a newbie to jobberbase but found this Forum helpful. So if you think i got to change the permissions to any file/directory, please let me know.

can you confirm that there is actually a "_cache" on your default template? if so, does this folder have 777 permission?

Thanks for your quick reply.
Actually under the folder:
/_templates/default/ there is no _cache.
Also jobberbase installed in root directory and not in public folder, is that OK?

Just let me know how to fix this bug please?

You must create the _cache folder inside the default folder and then give it a 755 permission.

BTW, did jobberbase get uploaded correctly? I'm asking because the _cache folder is inside the jobberbase.zip file. Maybe your FTP software doesn't uploade empty folders.

Thanks so much. If my site has started, it's just because of your valuable suggestions. My million thanks to your simple technique and it worked. I created '_cache' folder and gave 755 permission and I'm extremely happy to see my site live.

I will seek help through these forums.
But first of all my sincere thanks to getting my site live. I may comeback with some other questions / customization issues if any in case, to setup the jobberbase properly. I'm confident and I have my community here where I get my questions answered though it might be little delayed.
