Topic: Could not instantiate mail function
Anyone else having this problem?
I installed version 1.9 and can not send emails through the Contact Page or receive mail alerts on new job in my mailbox as Version 1.6
1.6 worked fine on the same server
The following error appears:
[07-Nov-2010 21:34:57] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/thesite/_includes/class.phpmailer.php: 527)
and this notice on the contact page:
Could not instantiate mail function
Thanks everyone

Re: Could not instantiate mail function
Hi!
Can you please tell use how you've configured the mailer settings in the admin panel? It's under Settings -> Mailer settings.

Re: Could not instantiate mail function
Yes
First I tried with the mailer: mail
Port 25 without adding further definition.
Second attempt with mailer: smtp
With Gmail's definition
Server: smtp.google.co.il
Port 465
ssl - yes
My user name and password
Third attempt with mailer: smtp
mail.google.co.il
Port 465
ssl - yes
Username and password of GMAIL
Contact form also is not working well and returns the error I mentioned
Emails are send to emplyers mail but not to my admin box like before on 1.6 ver.
anything else?
