Topic: How do you promote your jobs - companies/employers

Hi Guys

There is a lot about technical staff here - how to install jobber, how to edit css, etc but there is not much about what is happening after all this.

So you installed your job board based on jobberbase and...
What next?

How do you get employers to post jobs on your job board?
How do you targeting companies? Marketing ideas?

This is one out of two discussions - other is how to promote job board among job seekers.

Hi keskese,

Good topic, but did you really finish your website? Personally I think the most difficult part is to make your site 100% ready technically, then advertising it should be a joy of kids comparing to the technical part.

I am still in the technical step since about 1 year, and everytime I finish a detail I find sthg else that should be improved before bringing visitors.

Now about promoting among Companies/Employers vs Job seekers, they very related since Job Seekers wouldn't find your site interesting without jobs, and Companies/Employers wont waste their time advertising in a site without visitors. So both should come in the same time, and you should make sure your time will be all devoted to advertising without having any technical issues in between, so the companies feel always of your presence and activity.

PS : I see that you already have done a good job in facebook and twitter.

Re: How do you promote your jobs - companies/employers

Hi

1) This is the real challenge to any jobs site for that matter.

2) The success depends upon how you differentiate your site from others, the market you choose, the prices, the features etc.

3) Getting jobseekers without many jobs or getting companies to post on your site without much activity is a herculean task. Not that easy. Also right now jobberbase has no online CV maker/cv db or online employer/jobseeker accounts, which makes your marketing still tough until the new version comes where these features are expected.

4) Frankly the jobberbase right now available is more useful directly as a Job board to the employers rather than a job site.

5) To turn a jobberbase site into a jobs website and marketing it is a challenge. Simply having a site doesn't help where there're mushrooming jobsites in the market.  But can tell you for sure, if you make a difference, you will succeed. I mean product differentiation is where the success.

Hope my answer helps.
Thanks & Best Wishes
