Topic: How to ban a user?

I have found some are abusing my site by posting spam/scams. Is there a way to ban a particular user by ip or any other way?

I am still looking for this feature. You've to do manual IP blocking that's what i guess.

if you know the user's IP address or IP block, you can block him using this hack:

this is for 1.8, if you are using it for v1.9.1 you will have to do some conversion

1. I'm not using 1.8, neither 1.9, i'm not sure but i think it is 1.7. smile
2. Why isn't there any notice that this "hack" is for 1.9?
3. Which conversion should i do?

Remove all instances of '.DB_PREFIX.' from the code.

If you know the user IP address we can stop the unwanted posting from the user. we have new feature where we can specify the Banned IP address from posting
