Hi
since today, there are an error that are killing my brain... after some one put an job offer, at the final step, instead the message that the job offer was accepted, gives one white page error like this...

"SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

after this, the posted job remains on admin pannel to accept.

every thing was working correctly until yesterday.... today is this bull... 

the SMTP details and Mailer Settings are OK but when i send a joboffer to a friend, the msg informes that the msg goes sucessefuly but no ones recives the job offer. and if pu an job offer, when is accepted by admin, i've sould recive a confirmation mail, and i don't recive that mail niether.

can you help me please???

Hi!

Are you by any chance trying to send the mail through gmail? If yes, because it requires SSL, I noticed locally that I must install Apache with OpenSSL support. Maybe this info helps.

HI,
i am trying to send emailby using our domain email account support@xxxxx.com it is working fine on loacl system but on webserver it is not working.

So, from what I understood, it was working fine so far but suddenly it stopped working, although you didn't change anything.

If it worked correctly so far on the web server, then maybe the hosting changed something that affected your jobberbase installation or they themselves are having some temporary problems. I don't have another logical explanation.

You misunderstood the whole thing....

It was working perfectly on my local machine, but when i upload it on webserver, i got smtp error

Hi!

I tried on your site to recommend a friend and I got now 'SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.'

If the email address has the same domain as the site, you should try using 'mail' as mailer and see if it works this way. Also, if you really want to use SMTP, please post here exactly how you configured it in the Mailer Settings panel (no need to give us the email address/password).

Thanks for your suggestion it works with mailer: mail

but when somebody applies for the job it doesnt send mail to job poster. i have given full write permission to upload folder also,

Hmm, strange.

If the upload folder has 777 permission, I don't see a reason why the apply mail is not sent. I don't know what to tell you, it's not a jobberbase issue in the end.

Dear sir,

i have checked one more thing like when u r applying a job and u dont click on upload a resume so sometimes it gives error message but when u click on upload resume (it doesnt matter wether u upload or not)  it send email.

in short sometimes it gives error msg when u didnt click on upload resume and rest of time it works fine....
