Topic: Do you need Ideal-Jobs feature?

Probably the most unused feature in Jobberbase is Ideal-Jobs. I don't find it useful at all. Do you want to see it in coming Jobberbase versions?

I am asking it since it is being planned to remove this from upcoming Jobberbase release. Maybe when Jobberbase Plugins come into existence, a improved poll/suggest ideal job can be developed. Currently since Ideal-Jobs is not very useful and neither easy to modify to use, I suggest it to be removed as of now.

What are your thoughts?

Never used it. But it might be useful to keep it, excepted if the site owner can customize it.

never use it. The images associated with the function take too long to load the page.

Which images are you talking of? The page of Ideal-Jobs is just like any other Jobberbase page.

Feature removed from Jobberbase v1.8. This should be made into a plugin/external hack for any specific purpose if needed.

ever since this implementation I notice the icon-spotlight.png loads the last and sometimes it doesn't load at all you have to refresh the page. Not all the time.

This image is only loaded from page_home.php and only on homepage. Can you show a link where you are facing the problem?

I don't user it in the sites, I removed it from the header as didn't see it very usefull and confused users.

JB1.8 is being tested right now. We have stopped making changes and are checking and resolving the latest bugs. Looks like it will be released somewhere this month. You can follow us on Twitter @jobberbase to get the latest updates.

I know this seems like a long shot but one probable use could be in collecting job seeker's interests.. could be useful on a slightly long term basis to understand what kind of jobs people are looking for...

But what mad Filp include this feature??
