Topic: A Big Feature Request Guide - Needs Patience
I have lot of feature suggestions for Jobberbase in mind....Please do look into them.
Requests are posted version wise keeping in mind so that easy fixes come earlier and big changes are asked in later versions.

Suggestions for Jobberbase Business Model
Now I recently read that Jobberbased returned to Open Source Model after experimenting with Pro version who's price was not appreciated by many users though many bought it too. Now I want to suggest a different type of business model keeping the main product open-source and still making money
1. Offering Premium Ticket/Email/Premium Forum based support where you can charge for fixing bugs/installing/upgrading and even developing custom mods for users for fees.
2. Premium Theme Marketplace - There are hardly any themes for Jobberbase - You can create a central marketplace where you can charge a cut for every premium theme sold and give the remaining to the designer.
Suggestions for Bringing More Users
There are many Job sites but Jobberbase still is not that much penetration which it should have keeping in mind its open-source and has strong mods for it. Jobberbase needs more involment by users. Here are my suggestions for improving it:
1. Bringing out a Social Module for Jobberbase - Offer a mod for Jobberbase which allows its integration with Feedburner/Twitter/Facebook (connect)/Social Bookmarking/Newsletter feature - Allows Jobberbase to go social!
2. Bringing the GoogleCode Page to website's front. Not many people know about it. Promote it more so that you can get all bug submits via a single page.
3. I see that you committ all changes via trunk and not many users know that there is a svn version of Jobberbase. Involve users and inform them of using svn version and keep suggesting changes/improvements for it.
4. Redirect Forum Bug Reports to GoogleCode Issues Page.
5. Ask People to Join the Developer Team voluntarily so that people can help you in integrating their awesome mods directly in Jobberbase.
6. Update Wiki Pages and Expand Them.
7. Adding More information to Homepage - currently it lacks it - Showing recent posts from forum/blog on Homepage.
These are some of my suggestions. I really want Jobberbase stand next to Jammit or any big Board software in terms of competition and Power. And these are my own suggestions, I have not looked into Jammit yet!
I am ready to commit some easy hacks into Jobberbase code directly if you want me to. And most of other developers would be too if you ask them. And you know whom to ask - N2S, Chronos, Redjumpsuit and evertsemeijn.
