Topic: Problem with eMail function + Bugs

hey,

i just installed jobberbase a few days ago and i just found out that no eMails are working. So neither the apply-form works nor the contact-form. I tried them both. Also no eMails are working, when somebody puts a new job in.

I really don't know whats wrong.

I also have the problem that there is always one "http://" added to every URL in the Job-Posts.

And i deleted by accident the JS code that was grabbing the Code for the widget.

I just uploaded the original class_postman but it didn't change anything. Please help sad

//edit 2: I also don't receive any messages anymore when there is a new job. But it worked fine at the beginning... And i also can't delete announces.

//edit 3: Okay i just tried to install the whole app new and it didn't change anything. So i assume that it has to do something with the database... The only thing i change in the hardcoded stuff is the widget code. I think i messed it up there somehow.

Okay i just also tried to reinstall the database and it didn't help. i really dont know what to do anymore sad

please does anybody know whats wrong?

//edit: okay, after i just reinstalled the database AND the app-folder i can delete announces again. but there is still the eMail problem sad sad sad

try a simple php script to test if your server configuration is ok ( like http://email.about.com/cs/phpemailtips/qt/et031202.htm )

Hey,

the server stuff should be alright because it first worked fine but after a while all over sudden everthing stopped working sad

I tried the script anyways and all i got is: "Message successfully sent!" but i never got any mail to the adress i used there...

Hi.

Are you by any chance using a Gmail address? I understood that they've changed something recently and you would need to use an authenticated SMTP connection in order to send emails. Hope I'm not wrong.
