Topic: www.IndustryJobs.co.uk
It's been a long time in the making but I'm finally happy to share my new incarnation of yet another jobberBase website :: http://www.industryjobs.co.uk
As a first time poster I'm also keen to get your feedback on the design and what I've modified from technical perspective.
Based on the 1.8 version, IndustryJobs.co.uk include possible ideas that other might want to emulate including,
1) dynamic jobs feeds from other leading recruitment websites to deliver the "Elsewhere on the web" content.
This is done by combining separate RSS feeds from well-known recruitment sites, parsing through a Yahoo Pipes filter and displaying using a version of the well-known SimplePie / RSS integration method.
2) extending CtCoder's excellent description of the SEO mod to enable introductory text to be content managed at the top of each category section - see http://www.industryjobs.co.uk/jobs/water/ for an example where a "sponsored by" box is also shown
3) the usual array of Google AdSense content / layout changes
4) and finally an industry links page that also provides a route to crawl SEO friendly, sub-domain content linked to the Categories fields, that is accessible via specific URL's such as,
http://chemical.industryjobs.co.uk/
http://electrical.industryjobs.co.uk/
http://engineering.industryjobs.co.uk/
http://water.industryjobs.co.uk/
At some point I'll try and share how it's all done, but in the meantime I'd just like to say THANK YOU all those who have contributed to such a great open source solution - jobberBase rocks!
