Hey Guys,

I am keen to install the hireme theme, and have seen a few other nice ones around.

Has anyone ever created a step by step guide to theme installation?

If so, could anyone share how its done?

It's not been done, at least, not that I know of. The Hireme theme you can upload, and then edit the config file with your info. Isn't there a readme in the zip?

If you want to make your own template you definitely need to know something about smarty, (x)html and css. And also probably some php/java knowledge...

no readme in the zip of hireme theme...

I  uploaded and replaced config file and .htaccess normal and .htaccess admin  with my original .htaccess files but I had a whole bunch of errors appearing when I loaded the site - probably not going to help not giving you the details but I went back to the original theme and I did not have time to more bugfixing...will try again and post the errors...

you need to modify the config.php file with your db & others info.
that'll do it.
