Topic: Presale: Features of Jobberbase

Hi,

I am interested in Jobberbase and would like to use it as the core of a new website,
But the screenshot at the root of this site shows a link "Employer login" but that isnt visible in the demo,
And I also browsed this forum and I do not really understand what a feature of Jobberbase is and what a (paid) addon is, and I hope you could help me clearify this:

- Employer account and login  (Job seeker)
- Company login (Job poster)
- Require manual admin approval on every job listing
- Pay via paypal for placing job listing
- Pay for spotlight
- Extend listing
- Get notification when listing expires
and..
- Send notification to admin when listing is flagged.

Cause my site will need these features and another quick question, if you are using the login feature or addon, do you experience it to be an advantage to the website or not?

Thanks in advance

p.s. If it's an addon, is it compatible with the newest version of Jobberbase?

Re: Presale: Features of Jobberbase

Hi dominick,
Sorry for the late reply, but I hope this will answer your questions.

A "(paid) addon" is basically custom work done for your site by a 3rd-party developer. Some, like http://www.redjumpsuit.net have the addons available for purchase and they are easy to integrate. Those addons, though, are for version 1.8 and not 1.9.1, the latest.

Regarding your particular items:
- Employer account and login  (Job seeker)
Only available as addon or custom development.

- Company login (Job poster)
Only available as addon or custom development.

- Require manual admin approval on every job listing
On by default in the main package.

- Pay via paypal for placing job listing
Only available as addon or custom development.

- Pay for spotlight
Only available as addon or custom development.

- Extend listing
I don't understand what you mean by this.

- Get notification when listing expires
Only available as addon or custom development.

- Send notification to admin when listing is flagged.
On by default in the main package.

On http://www.jobber.ro -- the site jobberBase was born out of -- we only use the default jobberBase installation (no accounts, no payments) and it's working great for us. We don't make a lot of money (actually, almost none at all), but we sometimes companies pay for a homepage banner or spotlight and we handle those payments separately, not within the app.
Employers/Recruiters like the smooth, no-hassle job posting process on jobber.ro and we don't intend to change it any time soon.

If you need more addons that are only available for v1.8, you should be OK running that.

Hope this helped! smile
