Usually there is a setting at the panel where you set the cronjob that mails you the output. By default this would be blank though (since it just runs queries), but adding a simple echo '1'; would work to see if it at least loaded completely.
On second thought, I do remember there are problems with the cronjob, as the config file of JobberBase (and other files) use server variables.. which aren't available when run via the PHP console as cronjobs usually do. I solved that issue by making the file stand-alone, with its own settings, database connection etc.
Are there people that use the regular cron_maintenance.php successfuly with the unix php-based aproach?
