Wanna get involved? Find out how!
Would you like to contribute to jobberBase and have your improvements included with the original distribution? Here are a few items that could be improved (list under-construction):
- Create an admin panel to manage all job posts.
- Rewrite the classes that generate RSS feeds. Current implementation is an old legacy and it looks terrible (start from class.Feed.php).
- Fix IE bugs (JavaScript, mostly).
- Implement a multi-language system, with all the strings in language files.
- Other?

would love to help but unfortunately my oop skills are horrific, lol. i will report bugs, however, and i hope to see some people contributing in any way they can.
i’m looking to build a commercial page with jobberbase as a base. in doing that, i’ll try and clean up some of the problems, specifically with the javascript and IE bugs, and i’m also going to try and implement a payment system. feel free to drop me an email, especially if someone else is already on these issues.
I like what I see. I just stumbled upon this the other day and diving into it tonight with my own test run.
I’m down for working on the admin panel. I’d like to use this software, but the no admin panel means I’m the only one that’ll be able to fix things, once I got a jobber site going. I couldn’t imaging large scale management on something like this w/o some simple admin tools.
Is there a basic design that we’re shooting for? Maybe a wordpress type interface? Maybe no interface at all, and just wiki type edit fields within the pages….. I’m willing to slap something together and make it look good. I may need a little help on a few of the functions. I may be a little rusty.
Hi, Tom,
We do have an admin panel (site.com/admin/) where you can manage postings and static pages.
Are you talking about something else?
I just started playing around with jobberbase, and I like what I see so far. What I’m planning to do involves a little more information about companies, so I’m thinking of adding a companies table (and just using the id within the jobs). Some of what I will be doing will be specific to my project, but I’ll try to leave it open a bit so that others may benefit from my progress.
We want to get involved and have been sending emails to hello@jobberbase.com. The emails keep bouncing. Could you please send an active email address.
