1.8 – a huge leap forward
It’s always my great joy to announce a new version of jobberBase but this one has to be the best moment of them all! And for 2 reasons:
- Our development team grew in the past 4 months and I’d like to thank Chronos, evertsemeijn, navjotjsingh, redjumpsuit for all their hard work!
- This version has the most new features and core updates since we launched, including themes support. We’re well on our way for version 2.0 which will support plugins.
Here are some of the new features:
- Ability to change all settings from Admin Panel instead of config.php
- Improved and Paginated Search
- Editable Job-Url Structure
- Editable locations
- Recaptcha Support
- Database Prefix Support
- Dynamic Menus in Header and Footer
- Multiple Theme Support
- City Cloud Page
- SMTP Mail Support
Go on and download it directly from Google Code.
You might want to read the Installation Guide or, if you’re upgrading from 1.7, read the Upgrade Guide.

Damn! Wowwwwww !
I just visited the admin of the demo, and honestly you folks did a really, really pretty good work, now we can see the real potential of Jobberbase.
Congrats!
Thanks for the appreciation. We will continue working in making Jobberbase the best Open Source Job Board.
The latest release is a massive improvement on an excellent product. Well done!
Do not update my site. It is better for me to wait 2 versions.
Thank you for your work
The admin panel is not working fine in v1.8, you may check.
jobs.circle.pk/admin (i think css or script not loading perfectly.)

brilliant stuff keep the good work going on
I love this script, maybe now, you can do script for real estate?
awesome work, i was so glad to see there’s a new version out. thank you.
two things missing that for me are a big issue:
1. a wysiwyg text editor for the front-end. since one is already being used on the back-end, i wonder why textile is being used for the froont-end?
2. job-approval: i believe there should be an option to always approve jobs, even if the email address has been approved in the past.
otherwise, this rocks.
please alert us in email when 2.0 will be ready
